The Door to His Kingdom

It’s important as we move forward to first seek His Kingdom, not self-assertion, instead we must assert ourselves in Christ. Our confidence is grounded in who He is and what He has done, and not in self. We gave that (self) up at the cross.

The following are what I call “5 Pillars for Kingdom Living.” Your life, your ministry, will all flow from these 5 directives.

We love you and appreciate you.
Apostle Dr Alan

5 Pillars for Kingdom Living—The other side of the Cross

“But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33 NIV).

“They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death”  (Revelation 12:11 NIV).

  1. The Cross—Is the Door to the Kingdom (Galatians 6:14—John 10:9 NIV)

“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ,
through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world” (Galatians 6:14 NIV).

“I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved” (John 10:9 NIV).

  1. His Presence—Remember He is a Person

a). Spend time in His Presence – (Good morning Holy Spirit).

b). His Power (Baptism of the Holy Spirit and Fire)

c).Consecrate ourselves – Joshua 3:5

“Joshua told the people, ‘Consecrate yourselves,
for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you’” (Joshua 3:5 NIV).

  1. CommunionA way of life for a Christian (1 Corinthians 11:17; 23-25)

Paul dealing with division and sickness (v30) in the church talked about coming to the table in remembrance of Him:

[17] “In the following directives I have no praise for you, for your meetings do more harm than good…
[23] For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread,
[24] and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.”
[25] In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood;
do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me” (1 Corinthians 11:17,23-25 NIV).

  1. Prayer and FastingIntercession (Romans 8:26-27)

a). Praying in tongues – (at least one hour / develops yours spiritual muscles / builds capacity)

[26] “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. [27] And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit,
because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” (Romans 8:26-27 NIV)

  1. Jesus is our Deliverer and Healer—We continue His Mission (Isaiah 61:1-3; Acts 10:38)

[1] “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,
[2] to proclaim the year of the LORD’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,
[3] and provide for those who grieve in Zion—to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor” (Isaiah 61:1-3 NIV).

——————

[38] “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power,
and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil,
because God was with him” (Acts 10:38 NIV).

Extra:

a). Seek first HIS kingdom—not self-assertion—instead we must “assert” ourselves IN CHRIST!
(Our confidence is grounded in who He is and what He has done and not in self. We give that up at the cross).

“Then Jesus said to his disciples, ‘Whoever wants to be my disciple
must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me’” (Matthew 16:24 NIV).

b). Success is based on the word of knowledge – rhema / spoken – carnal things pass away

“Jesus answered, ‘It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4 NIV).

c). “Stop looking at the problems —just believe God” —Quote Ian Andrews
