Reference by Apostle Dr Jennifer Pateman
From the outset I have cherished the name of this University. “Lifestyle” is everything to God and should be for us. Who can select “knowledge” for themselves, while their life style completely slips the “radar?” It is not possible. If that is, the Holy Spirit truly walks and talks with us daily. In His presence who can remain the same? If this diminishes, so does our spiritual quest. The only way to progress then is moving forwards with God every single day.
While this university embraces high quality Christian education, it does not do so at the expense of the spiritual. Nor does it value or weigh theology higher than “lifestyle.” Rather theology enhances lifestyle! LICU is every bit about the “lifestyle;” not an education program just geared to academic advancement but also spiritual advancement. This alone creates the balance of the Spirit and the Word working together in our lives and in our generation.
Today’s world is largely dedicated to “information overload,” while LICU is dedicated to heaven’s “down-load!” In this context I would be so bold as to say that the “spirit of revelation” is the very force behind this particular curriculum. We encourage a deep walk with the Holy Spirit along with “abandoned dedication” to God’s Logos and Rhema Word.
Once fully integrated into these study courses – each student can have the secure knowledge that each program will lift them beyond mere knowledge and help prepare them for life. “Impartation,” “dedication” and “diligence;” are three major pillars in any student’s life and only the seriously dedicated, who seek true maturity and excellence in godliness – will grasp and rightly divide Gods Word.
Finally I lend my “hearty-encouragement” to any fellow soldier who possesses the desire to “de-tangle” their lives from civilian affairs in order to embrace the purpose of God for their lives and for this generation; by embracing this totally “dualistic” (academic/spiritual) journey of absolute “development.”
I say to you, that you will never be the same!
