About Us

Drs Alan and Jennifer Pateman are missionaries from the UK, who at present reside in Tuscany, Italy, and travel together internationally and are recognised as senior and co-apostles, they are apostolic-prophetic voices, connectors, motivational speakers, leadership mentors, authors and university educators.

At the age of 27, Alan encountered Jesus Christ, and his life was radically transformed. Born and raised in Guildford, UK, he grew up in a family of seven children, struggling with severe dyslexia, and leaving school at 15 barely able to read or write. But what seemed like a disadvantage became a divine setup for a miracle.

In October 1984 at an event called, “Third Wave ’84” at Westminster Central Hall in London, Alan encountered the ministry of John Wimber for the first time and was greatly impacted by the power of the Holy Spirit. This was one of many catalysts that released Alan into the things of the Spirit and begin moving strongly in the ministry of healing and deliverance. Another of many strong influences, concerning the move of the Spirit—the healing ministry in particular—was Ian and Rosemary Andrews.

Knowing that God had called him into full-time ministry, Alan burned the plough (1 Kings 19:19-21) in other words, burned every bridge by giving up his secular job, selling his house and using every penny, to attend bible school. God blessed this sacrifice and Alan graduated from Roffey Place Christian Training Centre, (1985-87) led by Colin Urquhart and Dr. Bob Gordon (Kingdom Faith), with a Certificate in Theology. Following this, Alan became a member of Dr. Bob Gordon’s Kerygma Team.

After this critical training period, Alan was given a clear mandate from God and began “The Vine Ministries” (1988). Following this, he planted and pastored a thriving church in the North West of England, between 1990–2000, called “Word of Life City Centre Church” (Liverpool). This is where he met and then married his wife Jenny (1994). During the next three decades, they have pioneered, built and laboured together, in full time ministry.

Today, they are both co-founders of Alan Pateman World Missions—which is a Christian-based para-church, charitable organisation and a non-denominational Apostolic Missionary Outreach. Its inception was 1994 and umbrellas the following world ministries:

From such humble beginnings—to a global apostolic movement—their journey has been marked by faith, supernatural power, and an unwavering-commission to the nations; training and equipping saints for the work of the Kingdom (Eph 4:12). In 2003 they moved their ministry base to Germany and established a Charitable Organisation and International Head Quarters.

By 2006 Alan received a Bachelor of Theology, B. Th., (from Life Christian University USA), to become a Director and Instructor of an ICE Campus in Bückeburg, Germany. That same year he was awarded a Doctorate of Divinity (honoris causa) in recognition of his Lifetime Achievements by the International College of Excellence USA, (President Dr. Robb Thompson) and Life Christian University USA (Dr. Douglas Wingate).

The following year, in 2007, Alan became the President and Founder of “LifeStyle International Christian University” LICU and received his Master of Arts in Theology, M.A., by Life Christian University, USA. As Professor of Theology, Biblical Studies and Apostolic ministry, he is a member of the:

In 2008 Alan received his Doctor of Ministry in Theology, D.Min., also from Life Christian University, USA (Dr. Douglas Wingate).

Then in 2010, during a missionary trip to Italy, the Lord spoke prophetically: “Build an Eagles’ Nest in Tuscany—a place to fly out from and return back to.” Since then, Drs Alan, his wife Jennifer and their children, relocated to Italy and have established a Global Ministry Headquarters in Tuscany, which has an impact that spans multiple nations, training leaders, and mobilising believers for this end-time harvest. Their calling not only involves planting churches and university campuses, but also raising up Kingdom leaders, who will carry the fire of God into the nations.

From their base in Tuscany they have also continued to develop the University as God leads. Having established LICU Extension Campuses in Germany, England, Nigeria, Cameroon and of course throughout Italy. Now more than ever, there is a growing body of correspondence students spanning the globe.

By 2013 Alan had completed his PhD and by 2018 had already authored over 30 books, including 25 LICU course syllabuses. That number has since increased—exponentially (78)—and is inching towards the 100th milestone! To God be the glory. What is impossible with man’s natural limitations (anxiety and dyslexia), is possible with almighty God! (Today, Alan’s books have gone into 68 countries).

To bring things up to 2025, what is happening now?

LifeStyle International Christian University, LICU—has been operating since 2007, when it was officially launched as a university program, after Dr Pateman had run and established various Bible schools and colleges/teaching academies throughout Europe and Africa.

LICU has grown and multiplied to international status is now operating in more than 26 nations across the globe and has equipped thousands of students, with additional student interest from 21 other nations. Most of LICU’s students (approximately 90%) are either deacons, elders, evangelists, pastors, bishops or apostles; with many leaders overseeing churches and networks in their own right; thus LICU is reaching hundreds of thousands through its rich curriculum from international renown authors, as many students teach their congregations from these LICU materials…

In addition to this, LICU has other colleges and universities who are in association or affiliation with this international network of university campuses, and is growing every year, reaching more nations and individuals internationally.

Connecting for Excellence, CFE (our apostolic global network) has also multiplied into 50 different nations around the world. Dr. Alan has ordained over 500 ministers, with a growing number of connections in Association and Affiliation. Providing an International Network and framework for the ongoing apostolic strategy of the Spirit of God that will increase the effectiveness of the way in which the need for connections and relationships are formed, transformed and maintained.

A Season of Supernatural Power

For decades, Alan prophesied the restoration of the apostolic ministry—a truth that many are only now beginning to understand. The sign of an apostle? Signs and wonders! Therefore the Church has entered a decade of divine demonstration—a time of supernatural power, breakthrough, and unprecedented miracles.

Like Moses confronting Pharaoh, this generation faces intense spiritual opposition. But debates, intellectualism, and religion will not bring victory—only the raw power of God will move nations and break their strongholds of darkness.

“The Kingdom of God is NOT IN WORD but in POWER” (1 Cor 4:20)

Even as paganism rises, witchcraft infiltrates homes, and faith is silenced in public spaces, the Church must rise in boldness and authority. This is not a time to retreat but to press forward in faith. We are in the final moments before Christ’s return. The world is watching, the stage is set, and the Spirit is calling for a generation that will move in apostolic authority and Kingdom power.

An Unwavering Commitment to Souls

Like Paul in Acts chapter 16, Alan and Jenny refuse to be distracted by what the enemy is doing. Their eyes are set on the harvest. Every initiative is a vehicle for mobilising and equipping believers to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth.

“Come,” says the Holy Spirit and the Bride in divine duet. Let everyone who hears this duet join them in saying, “Come.” Let everyone gripped with spiritual thirst say, “Come.” And let everyone who craves the gift of living water come and drink it freely. “Come” (Rev 22:17 TPT).

This is not just history. This is a movement. This is a mandate to train, equip, and send.
