Third-World-Scholarship Discounts
For those who apply and qualify for our excellent LICU “Scholarship” Program, must understand, that for any scholarship program to be viable and self-sustaining, the following “non-negotiable” conditions must be attached. Students who wish to receive a Special Scholarship Discount may indicate their request on the Student Application Form (forms are available through our office, or as a download – please click HERE), by ticking the applicable boxes.
This Third-World Special Scholarship Discount enables students to study their undergraduate courses for only £22/€27 per course, instead the regular rate of £152 per course.
Remember however that the University is not able to function on these discounted rates (i.e. covering: course work, credit hours, administration, staff wages, office expenses, etc. plus future developments); therefore Apostle Doctor Pateman subsidises the other £130 of the £152 regular rates for every course taken by students on this scholarship level. This means that Doctor Alan and his Union/Trust “Alan Pateman World Missions,” has to find a total of £1,170 for every 9 courses taken by an individual student (which is what they save on scholarship rates).
Therefore out of gratitude and respect we ask each student to sign an agreement, where they commit:
- To take at least 1 course per month
- To introduce at least 1 new student within the first couple of months of their studies
- To advertise the university on their media outlets monthly
Apostle Pateman and his Executive Directors strongly encourage all students to honour this agreement, which helps give back to the University some of the seed sown into our students’ lives. Remembering also that there is a variety of ways to advertise LICU (including personal Facebook pages and other social media platforms; especially word of mouth, etc.)
We trust this information better helps you understand the heart of Doctor Alan, (as LICU is the Teaching Arm of his apostolic ministry) and his desire to enable as many students as possible to benefit from this excellent program.

Writing Tasks (professional binding of finished writing tasks is calculated extra)
Students who have reached the level of their bachelor thesis for the completion of their bachelor degree have already saved 4,608 Pounds in regards to the 87% scholarship that they have been granted. Students finishing their master degree save a total of 6,039 Pounds in tuition payments.
For doctoral students, the total saving at the time of starting their dissertation for a Doctor of Ministry is 6,884 Pounds in tuition payments and an additional 500 Pounds for their writing task. By the time the have finished their Doctor of Philosophy degree, which is the final step in their academic journey at LICU, their total savings will have accumulated to 8,529 Pounds!
Also, the prices listed for writing tasks cover the credit hours as well as the entire editing process, including the approval of prospected proposals, reviewing of initial drafts, marking/grading of final version, reviewing and approval of amended submission. This entire process can take up to 2 weeks of fulltime involvement of respective faculty advisors and our Editorial Consultant (Note: Please allow approximately three months for thesis/dissertation grading, from the time your final version has been submitted – please see your Writing Guidelines for more details).
Since LICU is offering degrees to students internationally regardless of their location, it is still important to remember that the costs that need to be covered at the Head Office for these writing tasks are based on European salaries and therefore cannot be discounted in the same way as the course tuitions leading up to the completion of these degrees. Furthermore these LICU degrees are once-in-a-lifetime achievements that will not lose their value and the cost of writing a bachelor or master thesis for example could be compared to the purchase of a mobile phone, which is an investment most people are willing to make!
- Bachelor thesis (50 pages – 3 credits) £260
- Master thesis (80 pages – 6 credits) £440
- Doctoral dissertation (150 pages – 30 credits) £1,000 (normally: £1,500, saving £500) – 33%
