Our Story
From the very beginning of their marriage, Drs. Alan & Jennifer Pateman were called as missionaries to Italy, a land known for sending missionaries yet deeply entrenched in religious tradition. There, they longed to see the Church set free by the power of God.
Alan would often hike into the mountains of Tuscany, prophesying that a Bible school would one day be established—a school that would train and send out ministers worldwide. It took decades, but today, that prophecy is a reality, (becoming what is now known as LICU, LifeStyle International Christian University).
Throughout their journey, they have witnessed revival everywhere God has sent them—from Italy, England, and Germany to the vast regions of Africa. They have seen miracles, healing, deliverance, and lives transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. They have planted Bible schools, teaching academies, churches, and ministerial networks, ordaining hundreds of ministers across the world, including in Europe, Russia, and America.
A Heart for the Underdog
Dr. Alan’s story is one of overcoming. By the age of 27, he could neither read nor write. Yet, God gave him a burning passion to help others—especially those with potential but without opportunities.
He has dined with African royalty in London, yet has also sat in the mud, preaching in remote villages. He has traveled in limousines in America, yet has also lived as a missionary with barely enough to eat. Through it all, God assured him that he and Jenny would live by the written Word. That promise has come to pass through books, teachings, and resources that have equipped countless leaders.
A Ministry of Revival & Transformation
CFE is dedicated to reviving the Church—breaking free from religious captivity and restoring the power of revelation, the Spirit, and the Word.
Everywhere Alan and Jenny have gone, they have established prayer meetings that have sparked salvation, healing, and deliverance. Many of these gatherings have grown into full-fledged ministries. Their work is:

- Focused on Spiritual Maturity, helping believers develop a strong foundation to stand firm in their calling.
- Committed to Raising Leaders, equipping Timothys and helping them grow in their divine calling.
The Power & Demonstration of the Holy Spirit
CFE believes in the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit—who moves like fire upon the altar, igniting those who lay down their lives to serve God. Through this ministry, the backslidden return, the called are equipped, and the weak are empowered to confound the wise.
Dr. Alan has always lived by one foundational belief:
“The voice of God is all the provision you need.”
Without intimacy with the Holy Spirit, no one can be truly effective for God. CFE’s mission is to help leaders develop that vital connection with God and with each other, ensuring they walk in divine alignment and purpose.
