Core Values

Desires and Motivations of our Hearts

This list of Core Values is the heart of all things APWM, and applies to all APWM Staff, CFE Members as well as LICU Faculty and Students. Explaining in detail the attitudes, desires and motivations of our heart. So we can see what is desired from a biblical perspective that we can model ourselves after, this gives us a reason for denying the flesh and establishing healthy boundaries.

This then becomes a personal directive and motivation for our life and leadership teams. The motivation of course is to move forward into a deeper life of maturity in Christ Jesus. Below are 23 Core Values taken from “Principles of Multiplication” by Jack Frost, which will help us in this task.

We seek to be motivated by the love of God and not by the need of acceptance.

We seek to impart God’s love in everything we do.

We desire to be moved with compassion for the lost and wounded.

We seek to side with grace rather than judgment.

We seek to live life in such a way that our highest priority is to have intimacy and communion with God, then with our spouses, our children, and then others.

We personally are committed to a lifestyle of never ending change, seeking to be conformed to the image of Christ.

We desire to take personal responsibility for our lives, actions, and emotions, not to blame others for the things that go wrong in our lives.

We seek to surround ourselves with spiritual fathers who hold us to lifestyles of personal accountability in all areas of our lives and ministries.

We are constantly seeking to increase in wisdom and knowledge through continued study of sound Biblical truths.

We seek for our words to be seasoned with grace, to lift up others, and never to bring down, devalue, or defame one of God’s creations.

We seek to live transparent lives that are totally open with God, others, and ourselves, hiding nothing from our fellow man.

We seek not for our confidence and self-esteem to be found in our talents or education but in our identity and faith in Christ.

We seek to live continuously in the presence of the Lord all through the day.

We see our bodies as the temples of the Holy Spirit and seek to take care of them through purity and moderation.

We seek to be receivers of God’s love and to give and minister out of the overflow of love in our lives.

We seek to bear the faults and weaknesses of others in our lives and do not seek to please ourselves or to get our own way in life.

We seek to be servant-leaders who lead by modelling the servant’s heart.

We seek to be good listeners who judge not by what our eyes see or ears hear but by discerning the root issues of the heart.

We seek to rejoice more in our names being written in the book of life than we do in the success and praise that ministry can bring to us.

We seek to walk in the Spirit of Christ who is meek and lowly of heart.

We seek to daily experience the Father’s love and to give it away to the next person we meet.

We seek to live a lifestyle of thanksgiving and gratitude for all that God and others have provided for us.

We seek to walk in loyalty in all our relationships. Loyalty is best determined by what we say about a person when they are not present.
